Construct new Airport facilities at Olympic Dam to upgrade security systems inline with national requirements.

This consisted of a new complex housing a boarding lounge area for 80 people, security screening area with metal detector and hand luggage scanner, offices, toilet facilities and the boarding ramp leading to the tarmac. The ticket and luggage building was extended to cater for the the new luggage scanner which involved adding a new section to the rear of the existing building.

This project was started with a very tight schedule with expectations from the customer that the deadline was not achievable. MPS completed project in the scheduled time allowing a smooth changeover to the new upgrades without any closures.
